Mission: Gracehaven seeks through Christian love to provide shelter and rehabilitation to girls under the age of 18 who have been victims of commercial sexual exploitation, and to raise awareness among young women about the issue of domestic minor sex trafficking (DMST) in order to educate and equip them so that they can avoid becoming victims themselves.

Current Status: Gracehaven is not even officially open and they have already in contact with 5 girls. They have purchased a home and are in the process of raising the $150,000 for necessary renovations before they begin to house these girls. (not sure when this was updated last)

Three Areas of Focus:
  • Awareness: Public Speaking, TV, Radio, Newspaper and magazine articles.
  • Education & Training
  • Saving Lives:
Spiritual Connection: Gracehaven that each person has the right to accept or deny the story of Jesus, and that our obligation to meet their needs is not contingent upon their decision.

Shelter: Located in Greater Columbus Area/ Not Open yet
It will be a 5 bedroom, 4 full bath live-in facility that will provide long term rehabilitation to female victims of domestic minor sex trafficking until they reach the age of 18, with the ability to house up to 10 girls at one time.

Aspects of Recovery:
Counseling curriculum will be based upon and consistent with the truths of Scripture, but will be applicable to both Christians and non-Christians alike. Counseling will be done in both a group and individual setting at a pace that is most beneficial for the resident. Only licensed counselors will be used at Gracehaven.

Gracehaven will have an on-site school with a full time teacher using an individualized curriculum for each resident. The goal is for each girl to achieve age-appropriate education levels so that they can earn either a GED or high school diploma upon reaching age 18.

These girls benefit from having a mentoring type relationship with an older mature adult. Therefore, Gracehaven will be utilizing adult volunteers that have an interest in forming long term mentoring relationships with these girls.

Regularly scheduled outings, field trips, and just plain fun trips will be a definite part of the program at Gracehaven.
